They're usually escaping a bad life to have a better one.
I'm from Australia - I'm not bothered by them. Most people here are rednecks and think they own the country and immigrants should not be allowed in. But the thing is somewhere down the track their families were once immigrants 2. So who are we to tell them to get out.

They take the jobs that nobody else wants. They don't grumble about the long hours, the low wages and the lack of decent health care.
They bring new ideas, new insights, a strong work ethic, fabulous foods, and they work at living in our country.
Yeah, the illegals are gobbling up some of the resources, but this entire country, apart from the Native Americans, is comprised of immigrants. That is why it has been called the melting pot.

Well the first settlers were the ones who crossed the land bridge approx 12,000 years ago and everyone since then who has come to America has been an immigrant. If they enter the country legally I have absolutely no problem with it. If I said I did that would be awfully hypocritical of me since my husband is a British immigrant.

I feel there should be a limit on immagriants to this country, and a good reason for someone wanting to come here. When I was younger and I read our history books I thought that most people who came to america wanted freedom and a better life.
But now that I am older and living in a large city and have come into contact with immagrants from Mexico, Somolia, Ertira, Brazil, Etc.. I realize that most people who come here do so for the sole purpose of getting the benefits that our country offers, only to send most of what they earn back to there country to support there people, they stay 10 years or so, then go home where they are considered wealthy in there country, but while they are here we subsidise there income, offer them insurance and human services, food stamps, tax brakes. For what? so they can go back to there country to live in wealth.
Now if they want to become United State citizens and live by our laws, pay taxes, and work thats fine by me, but I don't feel like being used

In America our ancesters were all immigrants at some point, unless you are 100% Native American.

i dont have a problem with the ones that came here legally, speak English, fly the American flag. what i do have a problem with is the ones coming across the borders illegally; refuses to speak English, fly the American under the mexican flag and the us flag upside down. i could stay on this one all night.

If they obey our laws I don't mind them being here at all. if they break the law I think they should be sent back home immediately.
