the 'float' that sends the signal to the gauge in the dash is located in the fuel tank. It is a metal swing arm device that bolts in from the top of the tank.

it may have been an option on your truck , check to see if there is a official dodge measuring stick usually located under the seat, use this to see how much fuel remains in the tank

I think you mean the fuel sensor for the gas gauge, it's in the gas tank on either the top of it or on the front part of the tank at the top.

Are you serious the gauge is on the dash with all of the other gauges if you mean something else than be more specific
