the chapter taik about abortion then the auther said "there is complication associated with abortion like retained fetal material "The other chapter about smoking he said '"the teen may consider 'prying'
beginning to aske about access to drugs " what did he mean?

The first one is about after an abortion, there might be left over tissue that couldn't be removed and it could cause infection or infertility (unable to have babies).
The other chapter means that the teen that starts with smoking may become interested in other drugs and try to find ways to get more.
