"If you have a challenge, deal with it, learn from it, grow stronger for it, and move on..." -- Mr. S
This quote from my favorite social studies teacher lies among the greatest I've ever heard, only if you put forth only your best efforts to apply it to every aspect of your life.
Try to be open to your teachers trying to help you -- just try to listen to what their saying, and why they're saying. Believe me, the fact that your teachers are going out of their way to ask you repeatedly what's wrong again and again means that they really REALLY care about you. I wish there were more people like that in the world. Because they care so much about you, I think they deserve you listening to them with genuine attention and interest. Just try, that's all I'm saying.
Have you really allowed yourself to become open to help? You might not have because you want to stay with boyfriend. This might hurt when I say it, but the deeper the hurt goes the more joy can fill in that space if you allow it. The past is the past, and although it influences who you are right now, understand that "all you have is right now" (quote from another special teacher -- like I said, they can really help if you give them the chance. And all these teachers, they helped me because I went to them).
If you develop patience, I guarantee you you'll get used to it. It's a natural ability for all people to adapt -- both physically and mentally -- to their environment, because we're all designed to survive.
The reason your life appears dark is because you're focusing on the dark past. Focus on what could be the bright future and I guarantee that'll help you. Make sure you set goals and commit to actions that will lead to LONG-TERM happiness, even at the cost of temporary happiness -- but NOT to the extent that it'll leave you in a state in which you appeared to have been when you wrote that question.
Your life can be bad, and your life can be good -- both, technically, are correct. They both are accurate ways of looking at it. But which will lead to happiness? You need to make that decision, no one else can EVER do that except you. Once you realize that you'll feel powerful and in control of your life because it IS your life -- yours and no one else's.
If, when encountering a challenge (another wise thing my social studies teacher said -- They're CHALLENGES, not issues -- both, again, are correct. But the resulting emotions are different. I think you know which will lead to which), you notice that your reaction is negative, gently make your thoughts positive. You need to become aware of your reactions, and once you achieve the ability to become aware of them, you'll realize, again, how much you contribute to your current state.
If you feel that your shrink isn't helping, find another. I know it's hard, but you shouldn't judge the actions of one shrink to all of them. There are others out there who can connect better with you if you really look for it. You need to be motivated to find that person -- and that motivation, and the validation of that, comes from YOU.
Another quote from a good teacher of mine: "Anyone can be negative, that's easy. But it takes effort to be positive."
And I feel like I want to repeat what I said before, the quote of my favorite social studies teacher: "If you have a challenge, deal with it, learn from it, grow stronger for it, and move on..." He had us write an essay about that and what it means, that essay among another alternative. If you write out what it REALLY means, you'll be more likely to stick with it. It takes effort, but then again, is there anything worthwhile that doesn't require effort? If that were the case, wouldn't everyone be happy and successful?
I just thought of another thing he told me: "Just remember we all have a path to be on but where it leads us is ALWAYS for us to choose and even the choices can be reviewed with new info."
I wish you all the best. Good luck. You can do it, if you "just do it." (Need I say where I got that quote from? ^_^ )

No one is worth it if they make you feel like ending your life. You just have to take a step back and say to yourself that life is a beautiful gift and is worth fighting for. In the end, even if all your going through seems like hell, the experiences you are having make you stronger and a better person. Think about the people who have terminal cancer and have no legs, you are able to live your life however you want. Some people don't have a choice to live life and you do! Even if it takes eight years, make yourself want to change your life and be happy. As for the whole sex thing, dump him right away if he's pressuring you for sex. Think about your own needs and not his selfish ones. Your annoying teachers are bugging you because they care, but you can't be happy unless you care. Just know that life is an amazing thing and don't let little things get you down. If you think you have depression, consider going on medication if it's really serious and you can't change your feelings on life. Hope this helps:)

Yes you should and why would you let one boy make you feel that way? What is it about this one boy that is making you so crazy? He is obviously pushing your buttons and he knows it. You need to take a personal inventory about YOU and what YOU want and what YOU need. If everything that YOU want is with this boy, then there is your answer, but please realize that he wants sex only and has told you that. Ending your life is not the answer. Your teachers are in your business because they are concerned and they can see that something major is wrong. YOU should be glad that someone cares enough to say something to YOU. Now go look at yourself in the mirror and tell YOU that YOU don't want to stand up for yourself and be someone. I don't believe that and I do think that you are a better person than this. Honey, don't let some boy get to you like this. He is simply not worth it or worthy of you!!! I do wish you luck and God Bless!!!

Do you want to throw away the chance of having a fantastic turn-around mature life as an adult? Many others have had childhoods that were hell and now that they are older they make their life any way they want because they're free. Your future will be shaped by you. You won't have to listen to anyone else and you can work and live where you please. You might even want to go to college or travel all over the world. It sounds like too much when you are depressed, but that will change too when you understand all the choices open to you from here on. Here it comes: Suicide is a permanent answer to a temporary problem. @8-)

If you feel that your life is making you feel the need to commit suicide. Then change your life, dont end it. End things with your ex bf completely. No More!! If he tries to talk to you, walk away from him. He is messing with your emotions and its not right. Focus on your life and the good things you want. You are still young. I wish I had the help and advice I am giving you when I was younger:) Don't think there is anythign wrong with you, just get rid of people that are causing you problems in your life.Things will get better.

I have those thoughts too, and I've tried. You can message me at st.nbs.jimmy@hotmail.com if you ever really need to talk to someone, but I doubt you want to talk to a total stranger.
All I can say is hang in there. I've tried to end my life several times and it's never worked. I still haven't figured out why I'm alive either, but I have to hang in there. My friend needs me. I go to a shrink too, but they don't help because you can't really open up to them without being institutionalized. I ended up in a hospital for a drug detox and suicide attempts, and it was the worst thing that could happen.
I know there's nothing we can do, but maybe you could try to tell your shrink you've been feeling kinda sad, I found out I have major depression, borderlining manic depression/bipolar disorder and didn't even realize it.
Love sucks, but you know what? We're all going to have love in the end- the love of our friends. Tell that guy to **** off who wants to have sex with you, and to go **** himself with a knife. The teachers don't need to know anything, they're no worse than the shrinks.
Remember, e-mail me if you need help. I can't guarentee I can help you, but I can try.

when ur teachers ask to speak to you after class it is only because they care about you and are worried. They notice ur problems and want to try to help. I went through some of the same problems. When i was in middle school my older brother came out of the closet and i got a lot of heat for that. I was really depressed for a long time and nobody even noticed. Next time a teacher reaches out to you, talk to them. I know it's embarrassing to be asked to stay after class, but it may help just to get a few things off ur chest.

My friend the best thing that I can say to you is just the same way you are telling the world your problems. Please tell it all to Jesus. Go to your room and pour out your problems, your fears, your tears to the Father above that created us girl and ask Him to show you the way throught this. I personally don't know you but I will say a prayer for you. I am all the way from Trinidad. WI. in the Caribbean and prayer has no distance.
I ask God to send his Holy Angles to protect you and to send some one that would truly help you. Your life is precious Baby Girl. You cound be our next President.
