Let's say Mr. Obama were a member of a White Separatist church in Idaho or Montana. Would Democrats vote for him? Actually I like him and think he is moderate in his outlook but I think he would have to renounce the teachings of his church before I could vote for him.

Dear Mr. Almintak
Why do you think that so many American's are White Supremacist? If his Church believes that than I feel even more scared about Mr. Obama if he belongs to a church with that ideology. I'm Jewish and happen to believe that most Americans are moderates who live in a country that is so accepting of others that people risk death to get into it. Also a country that is willing to send the cream of the crop of its youth to die for the welfare of others worldwide. I plan to enlist with my boyfriend when we both graduate this June because I love America. The ideology of separitism is racist whether it's espoused by a White, Black, or Hispanic. God help us if he gets elected and thinks that most of White Americans are racist and his church most teach to overcome that. The best way to overcome the effects of racism is get an education; become a real father or mother to your children; and put their welfare at the top of your list.

He doesn't belong to a Black Separatist church. He belongs to the Trinity United Church of Christ. Their agenda is to resist race supremacy of any kind by trying to counteract the negative affects of the supremacist ideology. Since white supremacists are so prevalent in this country, the Church seeks to educate and support its members about what white supremacy is and how to survive while in the same society.
Thus, this church is the opposite of what you claim it to be. They resist supremacist ideologies; therefore they do not endorse black separatism.
His faith as a follower of Jesus Christ is evidently very strong. To him, renouncing his church would be equivalent to renouncing Jesus. He simply cannot do this. You will have to vote for someone else whose Christian values are not as strong as his.
I noticed that someone played the old "Hussein" card again. The name of this responder contains the word "Patriot".
The United States of America is a free country and everyone is entitled to believe in whatever religion they desire, and to live without fear of discrimination for any reason. To suggest discriminating against someone by not voting for him/her based on his/her name is an act of discrimination and is therefore un-American.
Perhaps this "Patriot" is what he claims to be in another country, such as Red China, where all types of discrimination are part of the government's ideologies. In fact these sorts of countries are the only places where "patriot" could be what he says he is.
Un-American values and ideologies are contrary to the freedoms granted is in this country. Countries that restrict such freedoms are generally totalitarian states, some having Communist governments.
A rose by any other name, "patriot"

FOLLOWUP:
You said,
"The ideology of separitism is racist whether it's espoused by a White, Black, or Hispanic. God help us if he gets elected and thinks that most of White Americans are racist and his church most teach to overcome that."
As far as your second sentence goes, I suggested no such thing. You have presumed conclusions that are not based on facts.
What I said was that white supermacists are "so prevalent" in American. This does not mean that they are in the majority. It only means that they are numerous. Thus I did not say that most White Americans are racists or that Obama believes they are. I said the agenda of his church is to resist white supremacy and that is all.
For some reason you decided that this meant most white Americans. His church meant white supremacists and that is all. They do not teach that they must resist a white population that is mostly racist.
Besides, what are you worried about? Even if he gets elected, the vast majority of people in this country are white (YES, they are. Just a fact). Were he to espouse anything like what you have described the Senate, House, and Justice Department would block his every move. He would be powerless.
I'm guessing, of course, that the Constitutional Authority granted Congress and the Judicial Branch is restored to the rightful degree of controls that were taken away by the current administration.
You got one thing right when you said "The ideology of separatism is racist whether it's espoused by a White, Black, or Hispanic".
That's why his church is opposed to the racist ideology of the white supremacists. They oppose the very racial supremacy that you have suggested they promote.
The facts are that Obama is a faithful Christian and his agenda is not racist. I know you don't want to believe that, but I thought I'd try to present a few facts anyway.
Lastly, consider this: does it make ANY sense that a black supremacist would imagine for even a moment that he would carry the electorate in this country? Of course not. The most they can hope for is to draw attention to their platform, a gesture that would be futile at best.
Obama knows better than that.
RE the enlistment issue: I respect you for your intention to serve this country. I grew up in the Viet Nam era. Then as now, I did not support the war but did support the troops all the way. They are us and they are risking their lives and the deserve all the support we can give them. If you enlist, I would support you all the way just as I support the young men and women who are in Iraq now.
I can support an agenda like Obama's and still support our troops as well. The notion that people who oppose this war do not support the troops is pure myth. And no one with a lick of sense believes in myth. No one.
I wish you the best if you enlist, and I wish you the best in whatever military careers you seek while in service. When I was a software engineer working on control systems for military vehicles, I worked alongside service career people all the time (the military was our contractor, after all). I respected them for their skills at what they did and they returned the courtesy for the comparatively small contributions I had to make. We were a great team, and it was clear that all of us enjoyed what we were doing.
I hope you find all that as well, and most of all I hope you stay safe and well.
Best wishes,
Big Al Mintaka

Looks like Hillary's hatchet squad is working overtime this weekend. First He is accused of being a devout Muslim and now He is a devout Black separatist. How many hats can this guy wear and hot break his neck??

His religious beliefs should not be a factor. If he renounced the teachings he would be giving up a part of who he is. Vote for him or not for him based on his political attributes

I vote for intelligence and stance on policy. He seems to be quite a formidable candidate (as is Hillary Clinton and several of the Republican candidates). It so refreshing to have some good choices.

Do you think that white separatists haven't been voted fo in American history?
Remember, this nation's constitution was primarily based on freedom of religion but fascists want you to believe that you don't need any of these freedoms -- speech, press, expression, relgion-- they want you to reject freedoms and become a brainwashed donkey.

Mr. Obama's religious beliefs should not be a factor in the race for the Presidency. In fact, his church is not 'black separtist', they are afrocentric - and why shouldn't they have pride in their race/ethnicity? There are churches in America such as the Swedish Congregational, etc. - would you be as upset if Obama belonged to that? I doubt it. These recent attacks on Obama are just a right wing attempt to smear his name.

I wouldn't vote for him based on his lack of experience and his flip flopping on issues to position himself to run for the nomination.
