i just saw silent hill and don't really understand it was everyone in silent hill dead , was rose, her daughter and the lady officer also dead if so when did they died in the movie

No, they weren't dead. The population lived there but under this curse. The lady officer did get killed by the cult, though, and died 4/5ths of the way through the movie or something like that.
I didn't think the little girl, Rose, actually died. She wasn't human. She was a projection of the "good" in that telepath.

Rose and her daughter Sharon were alive at the end of the movie, but stuck in the "Alternate Dimension" Silent Hill. The police officer, Cybill, died in in "Alternate" Silent Hill when they burned her to death. Rose's husband was in the "Real" Silent Hill. If you haven't, play the Playstation game Silent Hill, it is much better than the movie.

I honestly wouldn't bother with the movie. It was very diffrent than the games. They had some of the monsters and such, but the story was all screwed up, it was very diffrent than the first game, which it was based loosely on.
Its very hard to explain...so go rent the first or second game.

I got bored when she started walking into the town where the sign said "Welcome to Silent Hill", and then the burnt people were after her and she passed out...I thought it was boring..sorry

It is one of those movies that if you miss anything,you will be lost. That is, if you can stay awake! LOL

I don't know, i was so bored I couldn't pay attention. that's why I don't care about the sequel.
