i don't get it. why do people not believe in aliens? i know this question makes me sound like another typical hippie who thinks he saw a ufo and evrybody thinks he's crazy, but i'm not, and ive never seen a ufo in person. but i have seen many videos, pictures, and my mom saw the phoenix lights (mind you we live in scottsdale which is right next to phoenix). if people think there are no such thing as ufo's, then why is the phoenix lights, roswell incident, and belgium triangle still mysteries? and there is no way our seceret government has made a 2 mile long, silent v shaped craft that moves at 10 miles per hour over the 5th largest city in the US with over 10,000 witnesses. and not 1 person, except the government thinks it is flares. same with the belgium triangle, only a lot smaller. and the roswell, which is by far the most famous and well known case in history, which happened in 1948, we definitely did not have that technology to cause the governemt have to keep it top seceret.

oh yeah and it's not against physics that there could be another advanced civilization somewhere else in the universe. after all, there is only about a trillion other galaxies, suns, and planets out there.

As far as I recall any UFO sightings that have been fully researched have been confirmed to be hoaxes, like ultra lights flying in formation or crop circles made by ambitious farmers.

The Air Force published the Roswell Report that explained all the alien sightings with Air Force test projects that have only recently been declassified. Specifically the 1948 incident was not an alien spacecraft but a top secret ultrahigh altitude balloon to listen for Soviet nuclear weapons tests that fell to the ground. Whether or not you believe the report depends on your conspiracy theories. As for the Phoenix Incident, the Air Force said it was flares dropped form an A-10. I've also heard that the Phoenix Incident was a group of ultra lights they have low radar cross ranges flying in formation, suspending lanterns, at night.

Since so many of the UFO sightings have been debunked most people don’t believe all of them. Yes, there are still some open phenomena, but unless someone can provide definitive proof that they were spacecraft built by another intelligent being the majority of people will doubt UFO’s.

You are right. There is no evidence "against UFOs". However, UFO is an acronym for Unidentified Flying Object. Thus, any moving object that you see in the sky and cannot identify is a UFO. Many people have seen flying objects that they cannot identify. There's no doubt about it.

What is missing is the evidence that UFOs are alien spacecraft! There just isn't any.

So far we've seen no verifiable evidence of other sentient species. That said, I believe with some certainty that somewhere in our galaxy at some past, present, or future time, a sentient species did/does/will exist.

Why haven't we heard from them?

Perhaps they are not technologically advanced enough to be heard. They may be mastering stone knives right now, or experiencing their own Rennaisance.

Perhaps they are here right now. Any species sufficiently advanced to travel interstellar distances would be able to hide or masquerade with ease. That Boeing 737 that just flew by may be a surveillance craft.

Perhaps they are so far away they will never notice us and vice versa.

Perhaps they existed a million years ago and died out.

Perhaps they will exist a million years from now.

It is really impossible to know for sure.

The Drake Equation suggests that there is sentient life out there. The Fermi Paradox casts doubt. Play around with the calculation form at the second link and see what you think.

From your comments I would surmise that no one has been on the moon in your lifetime. Please do not call us an advanced race if we can not even maintain a presence on the moon which is less than 2 light seconds away. The nearest star to our sun is a few light years away. Since that is a binary, it is not likely that conditions similar to ours exist. It is evident that conditions here on Earth have proved able to produce not only life but intelligence. A much more distant star is more likely to be home to any intelligent beings that are out there. Any society capable of covering such great distances would be far beyond us. It would not be likely that they would just come our direction by accident. They would have traveled in numerous directions from their home world. We have been broadcasting artificial radio energy for only about a century. Thus they would have to be within 50 light years to sense that we were of any interest. The things they would send first would be probes with some artificial intelligence that does not care about the years taken to get here.

The negative is always hardest to prove. In order to prove that there is no other intelligence in the galaxy would take millions of years and homo sapien has only been around for a few tens of thousand of years at most. I only have surmises.

Aliens exist, but the people don't want to believed we are one more of who knows how many species in the universe are, the humans want to be the center of the universe ,it is a miracle that at least we accept that the earth orbit around the sun and not the sun around the earth.
This answer your question, you and a lot of people had contact with UFO,s and some with Aliens itself included me but nobody believed in that, now can somebody tell me how many humans saw GOD ,and how many saw Jesus in the last 2007 years ?But they believed in God and Jesus because they think that God made us as the center of the universe and that we are alone in this Universe that nobody know where it finish. I believed in God, not the God everybody believe .On the other hand how many species live in this planet !!! I mean all the animals, insects, plants etc etc etc and they are all different so why it is so difficult to undestand that Aliens are not like humans and they can be in millions of different forms and size same as the animals in the planet. They make movies with the aliens with the same shape as humans are and when they do it different than the humans people laught, I don't think they will laught the day will see one.The tipycal question of a human who doesn't believe is ,Why they don't came here and land at the white house and show everybody they exist??
First ,the closest star it is at 5 light years from here and they are not from there so you can imagine the tecnology they have if you compare with us that we are still thinking if we go back to the moon or not because we don't have money enought!!jajajja and we make movies that we destroy the aliens with missils ,jajajajaa they look at us in the same way that you can look the men of the stone age, so they don't have any interest to land in the white house to show us who they are because we are nothing for them but of course we think we are very important for them.
Better they don't land in the white house otherwise the humans we will try to shoot them thinking we are sooo powerfull and that is going to be the end of the humans.
Cheers

Wow, where to start
A. Believing that UFO's are aliens is a completely different animal from believing that there is some intelligent race out there in space somewhere.
B. It's the Bermuda Triangle, and it's no mystery whatsoever. The Coast Guard and Insurance comapanies have confirmed that the Bermuda Triangle has no more accidents than any other highly traveled similar sized area.
C. Don't you think someone who worked at Roswell would have fessed up that we have contact with aliens after all these years?

i think that you are absoloutley right that there has to be alien life out there somewhere. however i really dont think that they are visiting here. think about it like this. we have telescopes and can see billions of lightyears out into the universe. astronomers have discovered over two hundred planets orbiting around other stars. so this means planets are a pretty common thing. however, the closest star to us is 4.5 lightyears away. this means that if we could travel at the speed of light (supposedly impossible according to einstein) it would take us 4.5 years just to get to that star. so lets assume that an advanced civillization has found a way to travel these great distances really fast. if they are that smart, then why the hell couldnt they just watch us from where they are at. considering we havent even been to mars yet in a spacecraft, yet we can see great distances with our telescopes. surley their telescope must be way more powerful than ours. just a thought!!!!!!

"claims of information" and real information at the prompt are not a similar issue. exhibiting the bloody knife to the choose has a lot more beneficial credibility than retaining that you've once seen a bloody knife. there is not any information that extraterrestrials exist and there is not any information that they make or have made any vacation to Earth (robotically or in the different case). there is "lex parcimoniae", also undemanding as Occam's Razor. once you've 2 plausible causes for a similar journey, and one is a lot easier than the different, in the absence of any not straightforward information, %. the better clarification. mom made a pie (blueberry) and left it on the table to sit back. She is going out of the room for a at the same time as. at the same time as she comes back, the pie is lengthy gone, the pie plate is on the floor and my face is roofed with blue juice, particularly round my mouth. She claims that I ate the pie without permission. I declare that extraterrestrial beings got here in from Zeta Reticuli, stole the pie yet dropped the plate on the floor, and then took different pie filling to hide my face with it. there is not any different information. mom has to pick on the likely clarification. The Greys traveled 39 gentle-years basically to scouse borrow her pie and body me. Or i'm a pig. i guess she will't accuse me until eventually she has information that extraterrestrial beings do not exist.

It's more than likely that their is another planet that supports life. They might even know about our planet and might be visiting it.

Did you know UFOs were reported hundreds and thousands of years ago too?

Personally I don't think man kind is ready to handle a discovery of aliens on earth or alien spaceships. For example, religion would become chaotic. In the bible it says "he rose up into the heavens", if aliens and alien spaceships were proved that could be THE answer.

This is like saying to prove that God doesn't exist or that the universe is finite. I have had many recollections of various people that others might refer to as extraterrestrials or hybrids and artificial life forms etc. I don't see them much anymore though. There will soon come a day when we will know for sure and this might very well upset many who are religious. Many will most likely think they are demons etc. Many things are possible with the right special effects and the book of revelations will have new meaning for people.

Sure, there are aliens out there somewhere. But they aren't visiting us.

The US is involved in a lengthy war and you live near several airforce bases. Isn't it more logical that it was a new type of plane than aliens?
