No, you're stuck with it. My friend tried to find a way to opt out and couldn't. She had got the "top contributor" orange badge for answering too many questions in the singles & dating section so she quit answering ANY questions in that section but, inadvertently, answered too many in another category so she lost the designation for singles & dating but got the orange badge for the other category so she still has an orange badge.

Nope they force it on you have to sleep with the orange badge on. You have to eat with it, walk with it, live with it......wait you mean the Yahoo! Answers Orange Badge thingy? Oh ummm I don't Really know you maybe can! ^^'
