No.
That teams a Trainwreck and Hargrove is probably going to get the boot out the door pretty fast... they have made some bad decisions in free agency in recent years and now they pretty much have the one young starter with alot of upside and like a few real good arms in their pen and thats about it. If anything, they are a few years away from being anything,,, they have sum youth at certain positions, but this year, they will probably be the worst team in AL West, and towrds the bottom of the AL. Ibanez and Sexson will both probably get moved before trade deadline too.

nicely they're proboly interior the worst branch interior the AL they actually merely ought to end merely before the Angels. and rather the only way for them to make it rather is to win the branch because of the fact the AL proper is unquestionably loaded this 300 and sixty 5 days and you understand the Yankees and pink Sox will continually be sturdy. so as that they have got a honest possibility to get into the playoffs in the event that they are in a position to overcome the Angels. yet they do no longer look to be loaded sufficient to win th WS.

They have a very slim chance. I honestly think they can score enough runs with their lineup, but pitching, especially starting pitching is way too lacking.
Even if Felix turns into a stud this year, the rest -- Washburn, Batista, HRam and Weaver -- are just not talented enought to compete with the Angels and the A's. They'll come in 3rd at best in their division. Sorry.

in all honesty they could be a team to watch this year..
there line-up is good and defense as well
they have a solid bullpen
There biggest ? of the year is there starting pitching
Felix-has never lived up to what everyone expected(has lost weight and looking strong in spring)
Weaver is a crap shoot as is the rest of there starters
If they get quality starts from there starters they have a very good chance at contending this year

by keeping hargrove at the helm and not spending any real money going after the quality free agents that others did, they sent a message that they just want to exist. their goal is not to win but to just participate. this is why ichiro is going to leave as do all better players that have gone to seattle. they are cheap. management is and has been a joke! they need a power hitter. i say that they will be lucky to win eighty games. what will be this year's excuse? they have one every year!

interesting question you got there. overall, the team isn't terrible, however being that they gotta play 19 games against Oakland and 19 more against Anaheim, i would honestly say no, they have no chance of making the playoffs.

Angels, Twins and Yanks will be the division winners and the blue jays will be the wild card...mariners had their chance last year but this year its more competitive and the mariners didn't add big time players, so they're just gonna be mediocre like last year.

They'll hit hard and often, and Putz is a great closer-they field well too. I think they need one more impact starter(a solid #2 guy) and another solid arm in the bullpen, and they'll have a good shot at winning the AL West.
