okay dont say hold the the hold button and selct and menu it dosnet work and its stuck on the do not discount screen and when you put your ear next to it theres a buzzz and i jus got it say it aint broken plz help me

Take it to an apple store have them try to reset it. Make sure to take your receipt with you so that if it can't be reset that it can be exchanged for a new one (if its in its year warranty)
Sometimes they freeze and can't be reset. Good Luck

Well, if holding the menu button doesn't work for you then I think it is broken. Have you tried plugging it into the computer? Wish I could be of more help! Sorry :(

Have you tried clicking the hold button back and forth then pressing menu? Mine had a similar problem and it worked. Hope this helps.

hold the circle button and menu button at THE SAME TIME is should go off, if not u may needa wall charger

if it's frozen, it's permenantly damaged and even if you pry it open and thaw the parts, it may never work again. you'll have to get a new one

Try powering all the way off, and power back on.
