I have way too many icons on my desktop, how do I remove the ones I don't use very often?

Well it depends... do you want to just remove the icons or the entire program? To remove the icon just right click on whatever icon it is you want to remove and select delete. However, this will not get rid of the program, just the shortcut. If you want to get rid of the program:
1. go to start menu
2. control panel
3. add or remove programs
4. select the program that matches the icon that you want to get rid of.

Most icons on the desktop are short cuts and can safely deleted so remove the one don't use you can still access the programs from the start button

using ur mouse, right-click on the icon you want to delete. Then , there should b a little box that pops up. Move ur mouse to the one that says delete

or if u want just drag it to the recycle bin (the icon is a grey box with a recycle symbol on it)

on the open screen(from startup/desktop) right click the mouse and in the prompt window you should see one of the options in there to remove the icon from the desktop

Hello there,right click on the icon and a box should pop up.......click on send to recycle bin ..and its gone..if you want to permantley remove it go to the recycle bin and remove it from there,..that only removes the icon and not the programme.good luck.Tony.

do right clic on the icon it shoud popup a lil lil box, press deleted! or Drag them to the recycle bin fron the desktop

you click on the icon yuo don't want and if the writing of the icon truns blue then click delet on you key pad or drag it to the recicle bin.
