No, the little precious things are just telling me that they need a nappie change or are hungry...easy enough to take care of for them

It used to. But recently i have been having thoughts about the day when i might have kids and so I've been doing some research and watching some tv shows about babies. It is important to put yourself in the parents shoes - they are exhausted and are probably the closest one to the kid and they probably don't like listening to the cries anymore than you do. Also, put your self in the babies shoes, err diaper, and think of what it would be like to be totally defenseless and unable to communicate any other way. Imagine you had the worst headache of your life and all you could do was cry like that about it, which might even make it worse but that's all you can do to let mom or dad know something is wrong. Or imagine you're starving and the only way to get food is cry, you can't just drive to the cheescake factory. Also parents are well aware of others' stares and rude comments under their breath "someone shut that kid up" whispered (yes, I am guilty too) is easily lip-read from across the room and when they are already trying their best to get the baby to stop crying, your words or looks of disgust are hurtful. Please think about this and try to be patient and considerate. I definitely make a better effort to tolerate babies screaming and am nicer to parents with them now.

It should. There's a chemical reaction that happens within a woman's body when a baby cries. Science proves that when a women hears a baby cry her pulse rate goes up, her blood pressure rises, there's a rise in her adrenalin, and her pheromones increase. More so if the baby is her own. For women that don't have kids this can make them irritable, I know it does me if it goes on and on.

no but what does drive me nuts are the parents who don't know how to correctly discipline their kids and let them scream their brains out while you are eating next to them in a restaurant. i know kids cry, i have two of my own. when my kids cried for an extended period i went outside with them or took them to the restroom until their "fit" was over. letting a child cry themselves to a blivion and having other people have to listen is ridiculous.

Yes, it is one of the worst sounds to my ears. I don't mind kids, I will however be terribly honest, I can't stand the crying.

that's what it's for - to make the parent take notice
when the parent doesn't take notice and lets it go on and on -that's what drives me nuts
