ok a long time ago my friend and i were talkin like a day after the school dance. i am the type of guy that does not like to go to dances but my friend wants me to go. so i promised i would go to the next dance. and now its almost the next dance but i dont wanna go. but i promised. so should i go?

It can't be THAT horrible to go to a dance, even if you don't want to go.
And worst comes to worst, you sit around, chat with friends, and drink fruit punch. It won't be deadly, I promise.

Keep the promise and go with her.It not like you've an important appointment elsewhere.Make her day.Otherwise she might not trust you the next time you say something.Friendship is based on trust after all and nothing breaks friendship like a promise unkept.

Do whatever you want to do. If you dont feel like comming then your friends will understand. If they dont they are not your real and true everlasting friends. If you feel the need to go then go and have the best time or even just an okay time. Or the other option is hang out with your friends and do whatever you like to do cause there will be other dances. Duh!! You have to go. If you promised you would go then you have to go. A promise is a promise. You said you would go so the right thing to do is go. Especially if you promised you would go twice! Even once! You better go to keep the trust between you and your friend!
