Chemisty tries to explain why a object has certain properties based on the elements it possesses. Like why steel is harder then water. Physics explains how these objects will move. Like how far a steel ball will fly. The properties of a object, does affect how it will move. That is how chemistry and physics are linked. For example, why steel makes a better bullet for a gun then water.

To me physics is the world at a distance. You can see the ball drop, or things move. Chemistry is the world up close, where reactions happen do to physical introduction of elemts(light, water, heat). The biggest connection is that this stuff happens, right here on earth and we as humans are using these tools to explain to ourselves why.
