Here is a brain-bender for everyone.
Is happiness something that is created, or is it something that can only be found?
Example: two people fall in love. They are happy. Is their happiness something that they both created together, or is it something that they both found in each other?
another example: the happiness derived from your favorite activity; something you create by that activity, or is it found in the process itself?
myself, I think that when things are "created," they seem impure, imperfect. Unnatural. But things found are pure, lasting, rare. Such is my view on happiness.
What does everyone else here believe? Is happiness someting that is created, or is it something that must be found?

no...here's a brain-bender for you.
Happiness is something that is UNDERSTOOD.
For some, it may be found...for others, it may be created.
There are many roads to happiness.
Not just those that you have come to understand.
Happiness is a state of mind.
It does not depend upon wealth, things, or even the love of others, although it can certainly be a combination of many things.
I am 57 yrs. old. I have been married for 36 yrs.
Happiness is a place that you come to understand.
Some understand it at a much earlier age.
Some never will.

Happiness is neither found nor created.
The state of happiness perhaps is a resultant emotion when obstacles are overcome and have approximated ones intentions, or personal ideals.
The couple does not just have happiness as some object once and for all. That goes for found, or created. The two have to work at the relationship to be happy (overcome obstacles), and that will be temporary.
That is why searching (finding) for a feeling can go on ad infinitum. Buying materials in the hopes that it will provide happiness forever is only an ephemeral feeling. The saying about certain addicts that they are, "Chasing the Dragon", comes to mind. Just because you know that you should feel happy, will not provide that feeling for you. It is not absolute.
This is quite a general answer, and obviously hundreds of pages could be written.
The pure and impure is quite speculative and arbitrary. Anything that you think of as "pure" can be deemed as "impure" by someone else. The pure and impure subjects have analogous relations to the Sacred and Profane metaphors in religions.

I think it depends, I mean sometime we need to find happiness especially in the mind by being content or practicing meditation according to any religious faith and belief. Moreover, we need to create happiness by being positive, that is, learn to think positively, look at the bright side of the story. Then I think we can experience such happiness once in a while since perfect happiness is rare and volatile.

i believe one ought to create happiness, because happiness isn't an merchandise to be got here across. To have happiness is to create it with assistance from technique of operating hard, and then relaxing. Happiness is an emotion created with assistance from relax, and the sensation of completeness. So in different words you doesn't locate happiness, you should create it, with assistance from operating for it.

Happiness can be found or created. Personally, I think that happiness that is created is more permanent. It's more of a state-of-mind and attitude that isn't dependent on external factors.

Both of these contribute to happiness. Happiness once established can lead to finding new sources of happiness, and you can be creative with your happiness. Thank you.

Happiness is something you have to possess. You can't create it and no one can give it to you.
You CAN enhance it if it already exists within someone.
