I was thinking of getting The Sims Complete Collection (mac) ( That is the Sims with all the expansions) For my Macbook. I have the new Macbook's with 2.0GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 1GB memory, 80GB hard drive. I've heard people say The Sims just doesn't work. =/ Any one have this on their macbook? Or had problems?

Any other games that would work good on my Macbook?

I'm getting the Mac edition but people have said it didn't work for them. FYI I'm using my Mac for design and photography mostly but I do get lazy and bored and like playing games once in awhile.

If you're playing the first Sims, it will not work because it is made for Mac OS 9 and the classic environment was completely removed from Mac OS X for intel processors. If you're talking about the Sims 2, I have a MacBook Pro and it plays very well on it. I do not think the MacBook's should have a problem, however I believe they have the Intel Inegrated Graphics chip in them instead of the ATI or NIVIDA card. This could be why it won't work. Hope this helped!

Hi,

If the Sims edition you're getting is a special edition for Mac (by Maxis, the company behind the title), than yes, it'll work. Otherwise, all you need to know is that The Sims (any part), will work fine with your computer as long as you have Windows XP (or later) installed.

Greetings,
TK

Mac's were made for cool and fun things, not games.
