I need a solution that does not involve pulling the cord!!! The cord will not pull, even with the blinds turned to different angles!!!! Can anyone help????

Do you have a wand that turns the angle of the slats? It could be that its angled and it should be flat (horizontal) in order to open. If you turn the wand and release that tightness, then pulling the cord inward and releasing it should bring the blinds down.

try puuling the cord a bit then tug on the bottom of the blind pulling down
