Sure you can. Scrub it out with hot water and salt really well. Use the salt on a cloth like scouring powder and give the whole thing a good scrubbing. Be careful to make sure it holds water as mice often chew on the seals and may have caused spots where it will leak.

Yes, you still can use that tank for fish. Just make sure that it is cleaned out really well. What kind of fish was you thinking...fresh or salt water? If you are doing fresh water go ahead and get your water in your tank with a good filter on it and let it sit for 24 hours before you put any fish in it. Also once you buy your fish, please sit the whole bag in your tank for an hour. After 20 minutes put a small cut in the bag and let it sit there rest of the hour before releasing your fish. I work in a pet store and deal with fish every day, and I have heard people saying that they just opened the bag up and let the fish go as soon as they get it home and then it dies...that is because the fish has got to get use to your water temp. Hope you enjoy your fish!

Yep. You can use a mix of dissolved salt and warm water or even hydgeron peroxide and water (NO the peroxide won't harm your fish and actually sanatize your tank) to clean it out with. You don't want the ammonia residue from the rat waste to interfear with the tank. (I have both fish and rats).
The only thing I will stress, they do make reptile aquariums not designed to hold large masses of water. When cleaning the tank, be sure it doesn't leak. other than that you are good to go!
Again, the peroxide won't harm your fish. It actually is used to add dissolved oxygen to water when the power goes out.
DO NOT USE BLEACH, unless you are willing to go back thru and re clean your tank. Not needed.

i dont see why not as long as it holds water and you used only water to clean the tank, hot water
i would also get the filter going for two weeks before adding fish to cycle out any left over mouse presence, but i used tanks that were for reptiles and guinea pigs back and forth a few times

Following is a quote from the link in my source list: "Our terrariums are made for reptiles, snakes, etc. You can NOT fill them with water. Look at our aquariums if you need a water tank. .........
Make sure the tank is a AQUARIUM, instead of an TERRARIUM. Thickness & Type of glass & silicone type would be the major differences. The TERRARIUM & AQUARIUM can look idenical.
If you know for sure the tank is a AQUARIUM, then yes, you can use it. 10% Bleach-90% Water to kill all the mice leftovers. Then rinse out the bleach with water (GET ALL BLEACH OUT!) Durring the time you are filling the tank to wash out the bleach water, check for leaks!

You can, but I'd recommend you reseal it with silicone since its more than likely the mouse has chewed the corners and it could leak.
Also mouse nails can cause tiny scratches in the glass. This can cause a fuzzy appearance to the water and allow an etched surface where algae can more easily grow.
