If you've studied population dynamics, then you would see that it's almost impossible for the world to reach that population w/ the resources we have on earth. It would take a miracle for mankind to get to even half that number. At some point, the human population level will flatten out and won't increase, but start decreasing drastically b/c there is too much consumption of resources, etc.

Statisticians say: "If the present world population is estimated at 6 billion, and assuming an arbitrary growth rate of just over 1% per year, then in 500 years the population of the world will reach one trillion people."
However, there is always plagues, natural disasters, wars, abortions, infanticide, and euthanasia leans that will keep those numbers way down despite medical and scientific breakthroughs.

There are probably already a trillion insects but I will assume you are talking about humans.
The earth cannot support a trillion humans. Carrying capacity of the world is more like 8 billion according to some experts and we are already close. When it gets that high, people will begin to starve and wars will be fought over food resources.

A trillion is a thousand billions. It has taken this long to get to 7 billions. I don't think we'll make the other 993 billions even if 100% of the world quits their jobs and starts having sex all day. And if we did that we'd starve or die of sexual exhaustion-- hey, that's sounding like a good idea ;)
