Can anyone tell me where I can buy a pocket protector in the London area?
I SWEAR it's not for me, it's for my mom's friend... Even so, I hang my head in shame...

A pocket protector is a cardboardy thing that you put in your shirt pocket to stop pens leaking and ruining your shirt. If you still don't know watch Revenge of the Nerds. It's a very geeky thing to have.

I have no idea where you might go in London to buy a pocket protector, but I don't understand the mentality of someone who would be so ashamed to wear one or even buy one for a friend that they feel compelled to apologize for even bringing the subject up.
I remember my dad saying in the early 70's how ironic that all the hippies were preaching non-conformism yet they hassled my poor brother to death because he liked wearing a "flat-top." And by the way, my now full-professor of mathematics brother wore a pocket-protector then and he still might wear one now. What difference does it make? Oh, I forgot, someone might label you a nerd or a geek. That would be so devastatingly shameful for someone who is so concerned about what all the non-conforming anti-nerd crowd might possible think about you. Man, you need to grow some cajones.

You might try golfing outlets. You can get golfer's pockets which are to line trousers so that tees etc don't wear a hole in them. Hope thats helpful.
