Is it true skopjeslavia does not exist? It is a country north of greece..?

my frind is from there but she says they are also called F.Y.R.O.M i dont know what the letters stand for but she says she considers herself Skopjeslavian... but i have herd from some people this does not exist.. please clarify,

It used to be part of former Yugoslavia until 1992. That's how you've probably mixed up. Probably she considers herself Yugoslavian, which is more common for children of mixed marriages. As far as I know it is a colloquial term for Macedonia, a country north of Greece whose capital is the city of Skopje. The Macedonians are an ethnic group with Greek, Bulgar and Slavic blood. The name is not used on maps.
