They never have played each other in the Super Bowl. And as long as they are both NFC teams, they never will.

The Rams played the Redskins in the 1945 NFL Championship. The Rams won when a Redskins punt bounced off the crossbar and back into the hands of their punter/QB/DB Sammy Baugh who was tackled for a safety. That was the margin of victory in a 15-14 game.

That was 21 years before the first Super Bowl and the Rams were in Cleveland, but left immediately for Los Angeles.

By the way, the Los Angeles Raiders played the Redskins in Super Bowl 18, which was the 1983 season (1984 was the calendar year). That was the game where Marcus Allen ran for a huge TD and the Raiders blew out Joe Gibbs in his only Super Bowl loss.

The Rams and Redskins being both in the National Football Conference would never have faced each other in the SuperBowl (the championship game between the NFC and the American Football Concerence).

If it will help any in 1945 the Rams and Redskins played in the NFL Championship game. Of course the Rams were in Cleveland that year.

In 1974 the two teams played in a divisional playoff game.

They did the same thing 9 years later.

And in 1985 they played a wildcard playoff game.

The St. Louis Rams and the Washington Redskins never played each other the Super Bowl. However in 1971 the Rams and the Redskins did play each other in the NFC championship game, to decide who goes to the Super Bowl. I believe you may have meant to ask this question.

Since the Rams and the Redskins are both NFC teams they would have never played each other in the Super Bowl.

i imagine it is a really legitamate question. you know i'm no longer a Redskins fan so searching from the outdoors in that's what i imagine at the same time as i imagine about them. i imagine they're a protective team yet thier offense is basically so inconsistant and is no longer able to positioned factors up. a lot of communities are like this. i am hoping you do not get disenchanted yet because you requested I beleive they're a 6-10 or 7-9 style team this year. sturdy success!
