Not only is is cheating but there may be criminal penalties for it as well. Besides, it's not as though they don't check id's etc... If he ever got caught, you'd both be in allotta s**t. Actually, the red flag here is that he's asking you, someone he should try to keep from harm, to help him do this. Not a good sign. That's like asking you to help him rob a bank because you need money. Besides, at GED classes he might even be able to make a few friends. Try to get him to look at this more like an opportunity and do not agree to his manipulative little scheme.

Ethically speaking, maybe it isn't .. but some people study, and study, and take it over & over again, and just cannot pass it, so I think that would be very nice of you, to do this for him!! And he's write, it will bring more money to your family if he has alot of knowledge in other area's that help make alot of money, but he just doesn't know history in life you know, or math!! I say go for it, I wish I had someone help me!! I've taken it, 9 times, and still cant get passed the algebra!! You want to talk about frustrating, but yet I've worked for a T.V. company before, and done legal work, for a legal aid company before, but I just cant seem to get my GED!! I even own the book for that day when I'm ready to take it for the 10th time!! Its very frustrating for me!! So, I say help your husband out, and I'm very happy for the both of you that you have one another to lift eachother up!! Smile!!!

You are not keeping anyone down. He is keeping himself down and obviously he doesn't want his GED very badly if he is too lazy to study for it himself.
He already took the lazy way out of High School and now is looking for another easy route.
Is he this lazy at work also? If so, it's curb time for him.
Don't do it for him, he needs to finally be responsible for himself.
Go to school and better yourself so you can move forward.

Wow! I'm sorry, but, not trying to be harsh, your husband sounds like a lazy, manipulative, loser. If HE wants to benefit you BOTH, then HE should take the time and energy to get his GED. Him wanting you to do it for him just proves how little education he has. If he wanted you to wipe his butt, would you? Hopefully, no. Let's pretend you two get divorced later or you pass away, is it really helping him for you to do his work - NO - he needs to be able to know this knowledge himself.
Sorry to be harsh. I've been in relationships like that and it's not healthy.
Good luck!

By doing what your husband wants you to do is being dishonest. If you think that it is cheating, then you are correct.
Your husband should know that what he wants you to do is totally wrong. He is using you to cheat the system and using you as an escape goat.
You already know it is wrong, so stick to it and don't lie for the sake of your husband. He needs to take his own test.

It is wrong to take someones test for them. Your husband is wrong, and he is keeping himself down. Really this would be an indicator to what kind of man you really married. Frankly, I'm hard pressed to call him a man at all.

No, it is wrong. You would be signing a legal document that you were him. If discovered, you could get into serious trouble. If he's so concerned about getting his GED, then let him get it. You''re not stopping HIM from earning it, are you?

He will feel much better by earning it himself. Maybe if you were to break up over this that he will take the GED more seriously. He is using you.
