We have permanant custody of my husband's 2 nephews. Their mother still gets visits 4 times a month. Two of the visits are overnight visits. She lets them play video games and watch movies that are inappropriate for their ages (7 and 9). It's hard to raise kids one way when another party is influencing them another way. Do we have the right to tell her that they can't watch these movies and play these games?

You can, yes, you have the right to, but I doubt that will really bring you much comfort, because you can't be there 24/7 to enforce it. I would say something to her about it, but more importantly, I would tell the boys what your rules are, why you have them, and teach them to choose for themselves to abide by your rules, no matter what, even if you're not there to make sure they do.

Yes, you have every right to enforce your rules. YOU and your husband have been given rights to the boys.....that must mean something very serious was going on. Talk to their mother and tell her your feelings and make sure she knows you mean business.

yes you can suggest this but i dont think there is too much you can do about it. If you dont like something it is best to get a lawyer and go to court over it if you think it is innaporpriate.
