so i was watching a video on youtube and it was about some cartoon thing in boston. some guys put up cartoon things and i guess people thought it was bombs or something?? um the video is here:

what was the deal with that? i hadnt heard about it when did it happen and what was it about? i'm so confused

The powers that be in Boston turned the city upside down thinking those little cartoon things were bombs. They were advertising Aqua Teen. They arrested two people for putting them around the city. They made the company distributing them pay a $2 million dollar fine. The head of Cartoon Network resigned over the fuss. This all took place in the beginning of February, 2007.
As one pundit put it "the terrorists have won."
