the 1st friend i made at primary school was a fantastic girl called Karen.
i remember the 1st day our teacher asking us where we wanted to sit and i said that i wanted to sit with the girl with shiny shoes (black patent leather) from then on we were inseparable until i moved away. we lost touch for a while when we were growing up but my mum kept in touch with her mum and we saw each other now and again. a few years ago she was diagnosed with cancer and sadly lost her battle 3 years ago. she left behind a husband and a little girl who both miss her terribly.
although we weren't close in later life i will never forget my childhood best friend with the shiny shoes x

My first proper friend was a girl called jessica that I met when I was in nursery school so I must have been about 2 1/2 or 3. Her birthday was the day after mine and we used to tell everybody that we were twins! We used to get up to all sorts together.
We would lock the end cubicle of the toilets in our nursery class and crawl out underneath so no one else could use them. We would also get one of us to sit on the toilet with our trousers or skirts down and our knickers up and get the other one to flush! You would think there would have been more supervision in those toilets!!!
Then when we got to primary school on our first day she told me that if we started crying then our mothers wouldnt leave us and would take us home again so we cried solid for about an hour. Our mothers left us where we were! Then we got a letter sent home for flashing our knickers to the boys.
I moved to Scotland when I was 8 and we drifted apart and lost touch after that but I think we would have been a great influence on each other in our teenage years if I had stayed living there! lol!!

A 6 year old boy whom I met for the first time on the first day of primary school. Have had many friends since whose names I no longer remember, in some cases, not even the faces, but this little boy's name, what we did together remain as vivid as yesterday.

Hmm....now we're going back a few years!! Can't remember my FIRST ever friend, but earliest memories take me back to a girl called Bronwyn...We went to the same Jnr school and even moved houses together and landed up at the same new school at the same time. Unfortunately we lost touch after High School.
I wonder how she is......Anyone know Bronwyn Taylor? Think she's married now though...

My mother was really weird; we were not allowed have friends; certainly not allowed bring them home, but I think my first real friend was a girl called Mary Fitzgerald. I sat beside her at school, and we were friends until the age of 12 when she failed a lot of exams, and her parents moved her to a different school. they must have felt I was a bad influence. We did stay in touch for a few years, but gradually drifted apart.

I remeber when I was about 1 week old, I was given a teddy bear, and I called him hutch. He still comes to bed with me every night and I can't get to sleep without him!
I suppose my mum was a great friend, but I would call her mum, not a friend.
I had a brilliant history teacher last year and she was fantastic! I felt I could trust her, and confide in her if I needed to. But then I crossed the line, and it ended there.

My dog, Tassy was my first and best friend, and I have never been able to find someone as faithfull and trusworthy and careing as him, either on 4 legs or 2 legs.. It still is the sadest day of my life, when he passed away and crossed the boarder to the everlasting hunting-fields. R.I.P.

Her name was Chandra...Best friends in the 1st grade..Lost contact with each other when I moved away,Then one day I literally watched her walk right back in...I was19 years old, about to start orientation at a job and Mario said " I have one more person , lets give her a few more minutes..." And then she walked in... Its funny know thinking back because we both flipped out when we saw each other laughing, hugging, crying....We were really close...still are in heart don't see each other much anymore...

My first ever friend was called Ella. She talked really funny, and she used to get me into trouble. We used to tap children on the shoulder and run!
