I would like to be able to look at an newspaper article on line, but I don't know how to get to the achives.

You can try to find out old newspaper stuff on line, but usually it costs you. I f you're from the same town, you should try your public library. They have all the old newspaper archives, and hopefully a computer as well to chronicle them so you can just do a search on the name.

Do you know the state and/or city it happened in? Try looking at the family tree sights, they have helpful info sites about newspaper articles and the like.
