does anyone know how to soften the insides of jeans so that they arn't so scratchy? should you wash them inside out, or should you not put them in the dryer or what?

If they are scratchy from being new.....turn them inside out, wash them on heavy soil with about half a detergent cup of lotion in it, and definatly use the dryer! The dryer puts a bit of wear on them to soften. You can choose to not use the dryer anymore after they reach desired sofness, if you want to! Works for me!

***If they are too stiff, may need to be repeated.....for natural fibers, cream hair conditioner is really good in place of lotion***

Try washing them inside out & use a licquid softener as well. When drying them in the dryer, use a dryer softener sheet also. It'll help soften your jeans. Always use softeners when drying your jeans, & that scratchiness will go away in time.

This is really weird, but if you mix 1/5 cup of fabric softener with 2 tablespoons of sugar and wash your jeans inside out, they'll soften. NEVER put jeans in the dryer.

I wash my jeans inside out. It softens the inside and makes the outside not lose its color. You should put them in the dryer with a dryer sheet. I use bounce b.c. it smells good and softens.

Use fabric softener in your rinse cycle and dry on hot. It may require 2 or 3 washings.
