For some people it is common to only have a few BM's a month, but if she's experiencing pain and very loose stools i would recommend her going to the dr. A dr. could prescribe a laxative called Glyolax which will regulate a BM cycle and make BM's more regular, but with her pain and loose stools she should see a dr. right away.

Any chance she is anorexic/bullemic? Watch her eating habits - I am betting on an eating disorder. If you don't think that could be it she might have a partial small bowel obstruction - though I wouldn't think that would only manifest twice a month. She really does need to see a physician though to rule out a colonic carcinoma or some sort of an obstructing mass in her GI system/pelvic/abdominal area.

Every person should go 2-3 times a day. Going by the definition, 80% of people in this country are constipated. Your friend really needs to go to the doctor. She needs to change her diet and add some extra fiber to it.

in high school my best friend had this. when she finally did go to the doctor, he determined that her tailbone was mishaped... I'm not sure how they fixed it but they did (without surgery). When her bowel movements returned they were very painful and frequent for a long time. the sooner your friend gets checked out the better. try and talk her into seeing a doc.

the person who said anorexia or bulimia obviously has never has an ED.
to me it sounds more like celiac disease or irritable bowel.
she absolutely should go to a doctor. they can give her things to make "going" easier and not so painful.
she should also take a look at her intake and see if she is lacking in something.
this isn't a sign of something horrible, but she should go get checked out.

This is realllly bad!
Not natural for Anyone.
The ideal is that every person should have 3 BM's per day.
She needs a fiber cleanse.
Please visit www.DrNatura.Com
It's a life saver!
Maybe she should also reevaluate her diet.

she could have a twist in her intestines making harder and more painful for her to go. if she does have a blockage it could rupture and release bowel into her system which could be fatal. she has to see a doctor and soon.
