If you approach your local college, its student services you need. They can give you the information for the college near you.

If you are working, they do do part time courses, however, part-time courses have to be paid for, if you are on a low income, colleges have a learning support fund, but you need to apply early for this, as it does run out.

If you are studying full-time then it is free. They will do a diagnostic test, to make sure you can cope with the course, this isnt hard, its Maths and English on the computor.

I would advise you to approach your local college now regarding plumbing, as I know in some areas there is a waiting list for this course.

Good luck and look into it, its very rewarding going back to college and getting qualifications, when you are an adult, especially when you left school with none. I went back at 35, I love it.

You need to approach a plumber to get a placement and then do an NVQ in plumbing. The government may have funding available so it doesn`t cost much.

You could either go to college and do a course full-time or do a apprentice/trainee scheme. It would be a good idea to look at local colleges, and getting in contact with local plumbers and see whether they could take you on.
