Why are they beating down the Power Rangers?

I have watched the latest episodes of Power Rangers Operation Overdrive. In the Underwater episode the black ranger(the one who smiles throughout the entire episode even when noone is speaking to him or doing anything funny) and the yellow ranger have ADD and ADHD. The black ranger spends the entire episode being a jerk and taking over the other vehicles and stuff. He and the yellow ranger(YR) kept hitting buttons and messing up stuff in a cave. They set off a series of boobytraps and the Red Ranger dragged them to safety, only to have them take off and race each other back inside of the cave where they almost died. As the YR fought to pull the BR back out of a pit filled with molten lava, the other rangers just ran past them as though they weren't in danger. Then the BR knocked the YR into the pit while being greedy, and later fell in himself after snatching the artifact from the RR causing him to be pulled out for a second time. After that he decided to behave himself.

They also carry around these horrible briefcase thingies with the steering wheels, what happens if they forget them in the mansion? what happens if a monster snatches one while it's in the air? What happens if the boat zord can't make it to a particular location?

I watched the original PR on up through In Space and figured that I was just getting old. But no, I watched an episode today and found that I stilled enjoyed it a lot. So no it's just this recent stuff. Mind you i did have a good laugh at it though and will probably continue to watch and laugh, but the magic is gone.

they are not beating down on them, it's just that they aren't trying to entertain kids and teach them at the same time. the old power rangers taught us lessons. this new breed of power rangers are only fighting evil. back in the day, they would fight the minions without morphing and feel good about themselves. then when the numbers got to be too great, THEN they would morph and use their powers to win. plus they were supposed to keep their identities secret. now they just instantly morph and everyone knows who they are. bring back the days of a floating head in a tube, and messed up graphics anyday. to me, anything past power rangers in space gets a boo. a big, fat boo. the only thing they teach now is that fighting is cool. these new people have no acting skills whatsoever. granted that the old group still had issuses, but at least we got to grow with them. this new breed is here today, gone tomorrow.

they need to stop putting these stupid power rangers on dvd, and bring back the classics
