My husband and I have been married for two years, and I had to stop taking birth control about 6 months ago because it was giving me migraines and seizures. I have been regular with my period, almost to the hour, since I was 16. Since we are not planning on having children for another year or two, we are using condoms. I was supposed to start my period on Wednesday, March 14th, then nothing happened, and still no period yesterday on Saturday. I took a pregnancy test, and it was negative. I have had off and on VERY light brown discharge since Friday, but still no period. How long does it take for a pregnancy test to show? I have no idea if I'm pregnant now that I am getting this brown discharge.

You maybe but it takes 15 days from the time the egg is fertilized. Try another pregnancy test and you should ask your doctor for a blood test but know that even that isn't 100% accurate. I know I'm a mother of three. They told me I wasn't pregnant with my third son until I was 3 months pregnant. Wait until the 28th before you do the test, that way it gives time for the egg to attach if you are pregnant.

Most pregnancy tests can respond with positive as soon as 5 weeks after conception. There is a possibility though that you may have too high of HCG levels for the test to indicate. HPT are designed to pick up early pregnancies, and later pregnancies can turn out a false negative. I tested this when I was 4 months along with my daughter to see if it was true, and it was. Go to your doctor, explain what you have been experiencing and request a blood test. Those are very accurate and will give you the clear answer you need.

I would have to say to see a doctor as soon as possible.U never know if this could b something else.I had the same thing happen but I had just been put on medication for a wk which messed with my system but while checking to make sure nothing serious they sent me for a ultra sound and found a cyst on my ovary which we were able to minimize with birth control n found when on it I was ok but without at that time I would get cyst after cyst.Anyway the point is u want to make sure it's not something more serious so see a doctor.Bye 4 now and have a wonderful week.

Im no professional but when was the last time you had sex? I HIGHLY advise going to see a doctor and prepare for anything. The brown discharge, I have no idea...sorry. And the birth control, maybe that particular type is unhealthy for your body, again, I HIGHLY advise consultingyour doctor and phycisian. FOR your OWN safety.

If you are that regular then you probably are, but it could be that you are stressed out about something. It ocfuld also be the pills getting good and out of your system, somtimes it takes abotu 6 months. Wait a few days and test again with FIRST morning urine.

it takes 2 weeks - 2 months to be shore that u are pregnant or not
may u period will be late or early for another reasons
so you must be Waite for 2 time of period to be sure that u are pregnant or not or check with doctor

It takes seven days to get conceived. I would wait about seven more days and try the test again. It can also be your body still trying to get use to the changes that is happening. I would talk to your doctor.

Once you are 7 days past due on your period, take another test.
But, the blood may be a signal of the oncoming period.
Just wait a few more days.

could just be late it happens to everyone sometimes no matter how regular they are all u can do is wait a few days, see if it comes and if not, do another test
