Try to put them in seperate enclosures, but that they can get to each other, like over the fence to smell and talk to one another that will get them used to each other without the fear of fighting.

When we brought my two horses home, they did not know each other. Our pasture is divided into two sections, seperated by an electric fence. We put one horse on one side and the other horse on the other side. This way they could be together and get to know each other, without a lot of risk.
As they got to know each other, they would be let out together supervised when someone was home, but seperated when someone wasn't home.
They did well and now can be turned out with no worries!

We put them in seperate but side by side turn out pens so they can sniff and touch noses over the fences and get to know each other before turning them out in the same pasture.
We give them at least a week or more if they seem to be trying to be nasty to one another over the fence.

Animals of all breeds have preferences on their friends.
Horses are not different....they also have a pecking order
which can cause problems btn. certain horses...All this you
can do little about.
But try putting the in seperate inclosures where they can get to know eachother over a fence.....hope is they will decide to be friends.

Once the pecking order is established, this will stop... You cannot keep them from being horses... If you have a problem child , or one valuable enough to keep safe.. That individual should not go out with the general population...

it's all about a pecking order, if your feeding them hay make sure you give extra flakes all around to make the horses low on the pecking order get there share of hay
