why is college basketball awesome but the nba sucks?

i think its because in college they just play fundamentally and in the pros they try and show off. but i dont no whats your opinion

I think in college basketball the kids are still in school so they give it all to be drafted but in the NBA players already get paid too much so who cares.

The one thing yall don't realize is that there is way less space to work with in college because the 3 point line is almost 3 feet shorter so playing defense is a lot easier. This is why zones work so well in college because there is a lot less space you have to cover. College has to have a 35 second shot clock and they pass it around so much because they can't find enough space for an open shot and they end up shooting a contested one most of the time. You can't even throw the ball into the post from the wing in college because the player defending the wing can turn around and double so quick. I can't even watch college basketball anymore because of this. You can't even run proper plays or screens because you run straight into another defender. So the answer to your question is that it's an illusion that college players play harder than nba players because playing defense is a lot easier. Try watching an nba game and college game at the same time and look at the difference in spacing.

82 games a year is a lot of games as opposed to only 25. That is definitely a factor, but college really does have less athleticism and less skill, so team play is more emphasized. The players don't have the same motivations to play well either. NBA players have pride and hefty salaries, while college athletes have pride alone and hope that maybe they can advance for their schools or maybe for the opportunity to have a career playing professionally. When the talent level goes up, the difficulty level also goes up, so the game really changes. Your stars are no longer stars, because only the best of the best can do what college stars did in their respective conferences. I wouldn't go so far as to say the NBA sucks, because if you like all facets of the game, you will see the difference and appreciate those differences.

The fans in college are spontaneous and the NBA fans are there just to show they have money. Also the players play their hearts out in college and in the NBA they play hundreds of games a year depending if they make the playoffs. They don't give 100% till the playoffs. The college game is also way faster and is funner to watch because the whole team gets involved.

Everyone has there own opinions, but NBA seems more crappy because less teams are there (including playoffs)and players in NBA seem to only care about there salary. Also, NBA is more strong about fouls and the players moves. Plus, College has more players that show there skills and teams will try hard to win. In the NBA, only the top rated teams will likely win every freaking game.

College kids play because they love the game and want to help there team win but in the NBA it is all about the money and showing off. I mean if a NBA player was a free agent after he won the title he might go to the worst team in the leauge because he would get paid more money !!!!

NBA players play with no heart. I mean there are a few but I stopped betting on NBA because these guys just don't bring it every night. The NBA is no the same anymore. too many young kids that don't have to desire because they can look forward to spending money after the game no matter if they win or lose.

the money and everything is one reason but i also think its because anything cn happen. Upsets happen more often in college and some small school that nobody has ever heard of can end up winning it all. In the pros, everybody knows all the players and all the teams, and upsets don't happen often in a 7 game playoff series.
