I was in total shock at how lacking Alan's funeral/memorial was. For someone that's been on the show for that many years he really didn't seem to have alot of people attend it. Why wasn't it in a church? Why was Ned the only one to speak? I wish they would have shown a montage of his life including times with AJ, Jason, Lila and Monica, of course those many family fights that went on daily. It seemed more like an after thought then something they spent alot of time working through. He has been a major character on this show for 25+ years and he gets about a 10 minute send off. Maybe the writers needed to remember he was "BIG" item in his day and maybe because he wasn't anymore they felt it wasn't worth taking the time to remember him. That was a huge mistake. I know when I heard he was being let go I was disappointed and wondered...who's next? They have to keep those character that were the foundation of GH. I know they have this ghost character for him to play but that can't go on for very long so soon we won't be seeing him on the show and only in clips. My only thoughts are: That just isn't right!
Hope that helps...........

I did, it was kind of depressing, especially since there was no call for Stuart Damon to be written off the show. Even half the cast was pissed off at that one. Basically, everyone cried, Jason went to it and comforted Monica. Ned came back from wherever he was and spoke at it, since no one else really wanted to. Of course, Tracy is now seeing Alan's ghost since she changed his will, so he's there for a while.

Yeah it was pretty much about his life on GH anyway he is coming back as a ghost to haunt Tracey for changing his will illegally.
