Whenever I change a setting in Mozilla, it does not save when i restart the program. what am i doing wrong?

Question

the problems are:

1) when i add the bookmark icon on the toolbar along side the home and refresh icon it is not there everytime i reopen firefox

2) when i change the settings on the google toolbar it resets to default when I reopen firefox.

I have firefox. when you go to book marks click and open
then you will see the box
You can rename the site you want to save
i do all the time if i use it for a certian fuction

you can click the ok for the bookmark to be saved.

here is your problem
the line under the name is a drop down listing. If you drop rhw menu down you can add folder back where you started.
there is a area that says manage book marks.
You are adding all you book marks
to that file folder
