Because it is impossible to get to the center of the earth its to hot and plus it is way easier to land on the moon.

We still don't know all that much about the moon! We just went there a few times.

Pressure underwater is a different story than vaccum in space.

The Lunar Landere was as thin as a sheet aluminum air duct in some places. That was sufficient to hold in a few pounds of air pressure.

Underwater you have hundreds of pounds of water pressure pushing inward. Submarine hulls are fairly thick and they can only go down a few hundred feet, while the floor of the ocean is miles down in places.

Slowly but surely we are getting there!

Shinkai 6500, a Japanese research submarine built in 1989, can work at depths down to 6,400 m. The United States and Japan are developing research submersible systems that will be able to explore the ocean floor's deepest spot: the 10,920-m Challenger Deep at the southern end of the Marianas Trench off the Mariana Islands.

Check out just how far is is to the center of the earth. As you reach the depths of earth it becomes very hot. The earth turns to liquid. The core is nickel, I believe. However geothermal energy would be effective. Miners have gone very deep in the earth for iron ore, which many products are made from. Coal, etc. My father has been as many as 700 feet below ground and this is a great depth. Oxygen is also a problem.

Well, space is essentially empty, so there is not much to really stop you from going to the moon, except the distance.
On the other hand, go deep in the earth and you will get increasing pressure and increasing temperature.
It is not a matter of distance, but of what you have to go though to get there.
Oh, and the planet being sick part applies only to the atmosphere and the first couple of metre of soil. Deeper than than, and mother earth simply does not care what is going on above, and it makes no difference.

Simple: The temperature at the center of the earth is between 5000 and 7000 degrees, celsius. The pressure is approximately 3900 metric tons per centimeter. It is impossible to go down there.

Regardless, it would not help solve what is "sick" about our planet. Little has likely changed at the center of the earth in millions of years. Money and time spent going further down into the earth would be wasted... money and time that COULD be spent solving our real problems here on the surface! That is where the REAL sickness is.

Basically, it's easier to get to the moon as the hard challenges that are approached are over come. However, the pressure at the deepest parts of the ocean are so far, too big for any machine to handle with todays technology.
Quite strange really seeing as there's creatures that actually live down there. And if we keep digging down we'll just get to an area which becomes way to hot for us and metal to withstand, rock becomes liquid easy downt here.

Are you a fool?! Man has gone to the greatest depths that they possibly can so far. We have sent robotics down farther than tiny subs with men in them due to the fact that robotics don't need oxygen. The oceans at great depths are heavy. The water weighs down on the subs and will implode (opposite of explode) and the people inside will die. So we send manless tiny subs to deep areas. But there are areas that are so deep that we will probably never see. Don't you realize that the farther you go under water the heavier it gets on top of you and will crush you eventually.

Educate yourself before asking lame questions.

Man continues to explore the oceans but foran actual person going to the deepest depths it is hard due to the pressure as you travel down and the oxygen needs. Even a navy submarine cannot travel to the deepest parts of the ocean.

Because the core of our planet is made up of magma and lava and melted rock 'n stuff. But the Moon is made of Green Cheese, which is a lot easier to deal with ☺

It's easier to deal with the vacuum of space and the moon then it is to be able to withstand the enormous pressure and temperature at the core of the earth.
