do the old iPod Nano cases still fit the second gen. iPod Nano?

Since the 2nd gen Nano's are slightly skinnier than their older counterparts, you'll probably end up having to buy a new case (unless, of course, it's one of those plastic wrap-around cases that you might be able to modify to fit).

Some might, but not all of them. While the 2G Nano is roughly the same size as the 1G Nano, all of the corners are shaped differently. This means that while a stretchy neoprene armband case, or a loose-fitting leather case might still work, you'll need to swap out any form-fitting silicone sleeves that you might have been using because they won't fit correctly at all without hacking both ends off. Also, adhesive screen guards or vinyl skins will need to be specially tailored to the device that you're using them on, so those need to be purchased specifically for whichever generation of Nano you happen to own.

I agree its the era that concerns. there are distinct transformations that set each era of iPods aside. you may have a glance at iFanatic and settle on which one suits your ipod the more beneficial useful.
