Yes, you are still a virgin if you use a tampon. You can NOT lose your virginity by yourself. If you lose your hymen prior to having sex (for whatever reason) it will not hurt as much your first time having sex. Sex (for the first time) will still be uncomfortable (probably) because you are doing something that your body has never done before. Kinda like stretching a muscle that has never or rarely been stretched.

Will a tampon hurt with insertion? It shouldn't. As others have said, get the slim ones, read the directions, and try them out at home for the first couple times until you are confident.

Also, since you are talking about this I would like to encourage you to look at an alternative product. Something besides a pad or a tampon. I use a cup when I am on my period. (link)

It will, I used tampons and it hurt the first time I did it. The reason it hurts is because its stretching you out. Now if you use those huge tampons, the super or whatever, you may not have as much of a hard time. If you are scared of the pain, dont be, it is only the first time, and when you do have sex the first time you need to make sure it is with a man that knows that and is willing to be slow and patient with you.

Goodluck:)

It might. I couldn't wear tampons when I was a virgin because it hurt. But I have a small vagina. Try it. If it hurts, it will only hurt a little and it might not hurt at all. Just make sure to get it in all the way.

Yes dear...you're still a virgin. You're not having an intimate relationship with your tampon are you? Even if you use the super duper heavy duty sponges, you're still a virgin...but perhaps, in the long run, it will help ease the tension of the act of losing your virginity. Or not...If you want to ease the pain of the first time, may I suggest the use of a toy and experiement for yourself.

The answer is all in the lubrication. I would suggest putting a bit of Vaseline on the tip the first time. Also, use the thinnest size that still controls the flow. Make sure you read the insert. It gives you details on how to insert properly and how often to change. If you change too often, it will be painful. Not enough, and you run the risk of toxic shock. Good luck.

They'll be a little painful for the first couple times you use them, but then you get used to the way it feels and it doesn't hurt anymore...
And trust me, I'm a virgin too lol

If you dont do it right...if you feel it in you, then you did it wrong...make sure it is up high enough. But there are slim tampons that you can buy if you are timid to using regular
