If its something that is bad for you like a boyfriend that is treating you really badly, or a career that has turned to workaholism etc then accept that she may have a point or is entitled to have an opinion.
But if its something more dubious then that over an issue that doesn't seem to be hurting anybody (including you) then maybe question their motives. Sometimes people can do things out of jealousy or possesiveness.
What you could do is ask yourself what you would say if you were in your friends position, or simply follow your gut instinct.

I would try to figure out which one is more important to me.
The person I trust the most IS what I value the most, so there's no dilemma for me.

the person i trusted the most is my wife and if she asked me to give up my life for her..i would do this...without that kind of commitment you don't really have love
