According to Wikipedia, it started in Central Asia or N. India:

But googling finds many sources indicating it started in Central Asia:

Based on that starting point It looks like the first cities would have been in China (say Beijing?) or along the Silk Road according to:

I am not sure of the town, but the first reports of black death come from Hubei province, in south-central China

I would think that it spread to asia from europe and the crossover point was probably Constantinople, turkey, later called Instanbul
