That depends upon who you ask. A Republican, is supposed to believe in less government intervention and regulation, also lower taxation. This is in the belief that businesses would rather govern themselves rather than have a formal government thrust upon them. Democrats believe that the government should take over all aspects of living. Health, work, immigration, re distribution of wealth, should be a government task.

More Democrats means more hands at the feeding trough, means more vote for Democrats. A sleepy America will suffer the Corriolis effect

There is no difference. They both lie and never deliver on promises. The elite in this world wield there negative influence on world affairs while the average person sits on the Internet like idiots debating about which party is better. A government of the people, by the people, and for the people...we need to start taking notice before these fools lead us down the path of destruction.

These days that question is a loaded one, but the best I can do is to simplify to extremes (and these extremes are not representative of either group, really).
Democrats are actually more similar to socialists--more governmental control and monitoring, while Republicans believe that capitalism and its structure will guide the restrictions and inflations, etc. without a lot of guidance provided by the government. This issue of course, brings many others into play, ie, what should be done with taxes and how it should be spent (war, social security, prisons, welfare, etc.)

Democrats are usually liberal on issues, while Republicans are conservatives, meaning they do not like having the rules change.

Basically Democrats are on CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS, and MSNBC, while Republicans are on Fox News.

democrats believe anything the media tell them, republicans have common sense enough to know better.....and as a result have more money, which typically makes most dems. jealous... as they tend to spend theirs as the media tells them, while denying this verbosely.... but bi-partisan treason seems to be rampant in this day as much as in the last century......
