I don't know about the bible but there was the idea of the antipodes in the ancient world. I would suspect this also knew about China. Then there is the famousBiblical passage about the Bear coming down--whatever--interpreted to mean Russia. It is an interesting question and I'll be looking forward to a more factual answer.

I doubt it. Back then they didn't "sail" around the world. They didn't "fly" around the world. The only country they knew of is the country they lived in. It took some 1000 more years before we had the history of people "moving" around.
