I'm in a bad relationship, I am estranged from my family, my friends all use me and betray me, I feel like I should just pack up and leave with my kids and start over fresh somewhere where I don't know a soul. I have the money to do so and marketable job skills. Has anyone ever considered this or actually done it?

At least 3 or 4 times every week of my life and in fact I have done it about 5 times in my life. Then I finally figured out that geography didn't have a thing to do with my state of mind since it didn't change much. But if the relationship is that bad and not repairable then get out. You said yourself you have the money and marketable job skills. Stop slighting yourself. You deserve to be happy.

If the relationship is so bad, that you want to leave....then do it. Make sure you can afford it, and know what and how to do it.
Sometimes, a fresh town to live in is beneficial to people, and sometimes it isn't. Every problem has a answer, so set down, and examine why your situation is bad, then try to get the best solution you can think of.
Sometimes a minister at a church can help guide you through rough times. Good luck to you.

yes i do all the time. i feel that way everytime life isnt going good for me i guess its my thought that never goes away but i want it to come back so quickly. it happens everytime you can change life or take something back. like i also wish i could turn back time and make things right. I always know i can restart my life..and fun away and start over. i felt that way when i first fell into a bad situation and i just wanted to run away but instead i stood still and cryed. and wished and wished ... i had the gutts to run awy and start over.

You don't have to run away from your place. You just have to get out of bad relationship and remember people change over time. Also, learn to make friends and your life will be back on track.

I did feel that way momentarily. It was a huge wake-up call that it was a relationship that I had to get out of, to save my children and myself. Abandoning your children is a BAD idea. You will lose them, they will be enormously hurt, and then you will lose them in the courts. You can be pushed so far in a bad relationship, that crazy things go through your head. Get your self and your kids out of there!

If you have the finances to do so, and the ability of getting work elsewhere, go for it. Good Luck.
