I think that every woman is different. However, mine took less than a year to start fading. That is to say, they do fade more as time goes by. Unfortunately, they do not go away completely.
Watch out for tanning, it makes them look more visible, due to the fact that the scars do not tan.

never. i had my last baby 2 years ago and the scars fade a little bit but they're still there and you can still see them (mine are white and I'm tan). stretch marks are from your skin litereallly ripping and scarring from that, so it'll fade just as much as a regular scar from a cut would. if you serious about getting em fixed look into a laser skin center

Tanning is probably not such a good idea as it will make this "scarred" tissue darker than your regular skin. Vitamin E is an excellent starter, also, cocoa butter is excellent for stretch marks. They will eventually fade in time though.

I have two children, the last one nearly two years ago, after about 3 or 4 months after he was born they did turn a silvery colour and less noticable and that was without the use of creams. I hope that this is reassuring to you, just remember that whatever anyone else things, you've just had a baby and you're beautiful

They will probably never not be noticeable, they'll just hopefully be less noticeable over time.
Do some research online for stretch mark removal and you'll find sites that have tips on removal (surgical) or ways to help lessen their appearance.

Sometimes, depending on how deep they are they never do.
Keep doing what your doing and get tones back up, that will help at least shrink them, normally speaking of course.
