My favorite card game is Spoons.
How to play:
You need:
at least 3 players (4 or more is best)
one less spoon than # of players (other small objects can replace spoons).
deal each player 4 cards.
'leader; of the round picks up a card from the deck, and passes an unwanted card to the right.
that person picks up that card and discards one of theirs to the right.
continues on.
you are trying to get 4 of a kind.
when you do, you grab a spoon.
when first person grabs a spoon, rest follow suit, and person left without loses that round.
usually played with a penalty for losing (ie. jump in the lake)
fun and very competetive!!!!
sometimes there is a battle for the last spoon!!!!

Do you know how to play crazy 8's? Its like Uno. You deal out eight cards to each player. Then place one card in the middle. Play by placing a card with the same color or suit onto that center card. Jacks mean reverse. Queens mean skip. deuces means the next player must pick up two. aces means pick up four. eight cards are wild and so are jokers. to stop an ace or a deuce, place another ace or deuce over the offending card and the next player must pick up cards, the amount being equal to the all the pick-up cards added together. an eight card also stops the effect of a pick-up card.

spades, hearts and BS are classics. BS is always fun, because everyone has a good time shouting out profanity when someone is lying. you go around taking turns, placing cards in the center. the one who starts puts how many aces he or she has. the next person puts down twos, the next threes. if you dont have the cards, you need to bluff and put it down anway. if they think you're lying they say "Bul$hhhiTTT!" and then you have to collect all the cards. whoever loses all their cards first wins. i think thats how its played, i havent played it in a while.
