which of the two would you buy. im thinking of the hp one as the have good support, well apparently better than toshiba.

Hi, I would go for the hp one as I know their support is excellent. I emailed them with regards a printer problem we had at work, and got a reply the same day with excellent adivce, not the usual rubbish about uninstalling the software and re-installing it.
If its a HP you are after why not have a look at the link below. One of the guys at work ahs just bought this laptop, it came the very next day. If your going to buy on line have a look at pricerunner as you can have a look at the customer review from whom you buying from. The laptop you mention is cheaper from ebuyer as well.
You should maybe have a look at Acer. I just bought a 3692wlmi which has got a better specl than the HP you are looking at and was £400 from comet. Its a bit dearer on the ebuyer site. My son has an acer too, a 5612wlmi with dual core processor. Thats on the comet site at just under £500
We have 2 acers in the family, are very happy with both and looking at getting a third for my daughter. Will buy Acer or the HP one which is on the link below. That one comes with XP professional.

My dad actually had that HP one for his work computer and it was nice. Never had any problems, but very simple. A good little computer.
I am getting a Toshiba, and I hear they are a great company. I would go with the Toshiba, just because they are one of the BEST computer comapnys in the world, but they are both wonderful computers.

Toshiba have the best after sales I have ever experienced.My lap top was stolen and it was traced by Toshiba and returned to me.and they even check it over for free before returning it to me and to cap it all offered me a replacement whilst they looked for it.
Great product,great service.
"You get what you pay for"
Would not touch an HP I would consider a Dell as a second choice to Toshiba.

well i had a Compaq and it was nothing but problems and i had a hp it was not bad. now hp and Compaq are together so i don't know how hp is right now but i do have a Toshiba laptop its about 1 year old right now. i have had no problems with it and i really like it so i would recommend the Toshiba.
p.s mac is no good and dell DOES have problems

To me the HP notebook is better, because it features a Intel Pentium, an Intel Celeron is weaker than a Pentium Processor, this notebook is a Business notebook, so it does not have a recovery partition, but it has recovery discs, I own 2 business, and 1 consumer laptop, so i can tell this is true

How come A celeron processor is more expensive than an M processor which is twice faster than the Celeron,
I think this only happens in England, not in U.S.
Don't think it over, and get the HP

I would recommend the Toshiba or a Dell. Unlike most manufacturers, I think HP outsources their CS to an American company. I wouldn't swear to that though.

HP! Good support and ease of restoration with the touch of a key! It can easily be set back just as it came from the factory! I build my own but as a repair tech, I have to say, HP is THE BEST for the average PC user!

i basically offered a clean computer from johnlewis very last week and its a HP and its tremendous"!! its £499 and u get intel center 2 duo, 2gb ram a million.67ghz and 250gb storage and its all sleek and hp are the finest. desire u examine johnlewis out and note the single i bough 499. oh and their customer amenities is superb, u get 2 year assure aswell!! sturdy success.

Well, all I can say is that I got a Toshiba one about four weeks ago (I'm on it right now) and it's absolutely brilliant. I really couldn't ask for more.
