What Mathematic Skills are need and what type of education is needed in order to get hired for a company, or for further advancement?

depends - if it's for layout only you need to be able to carry out simple aritmetic to calculate area widths and heights, if you do programming then obviously much more advanced mathematics is required. If you want to do interactive stuff with flash then its essential as you're making objecets move around the screen - which is all done with maths.
As an employer I don't really care about a persons education I care about if they can do the job or not - this ability depends on personal attributes not a series of certificates.

I would say at least basic algebra and a high school diploma, actual requirements can vary from one employer to the next.
