Interesting question, but I'm not sure what you mean. Where do you think the future might be going, and what would you like to see going differently?

Who is "we"? I'll assume you are talking about the United States? But who exactly... the government? Companies? Consumers?

How is this we "selling our future" exactly? Are you thinking about government policies that encourage American companies to do business in China? Are you thinking of the fact that Americans buy so many products that are made there? Whose fault is that? Consumers'? Wal-Mart's? Noone's? Everyone's?

Are we willing to give up our behavior so that we can avoid many of the consumeristic habits that is allowing other countries like China to take advantage like they are. We arent selling our future, but we are buying it.
