not reaching the bus stop as your bus is approaching, so you have to run for it but you dont get their in time, or you have an a*se hole bus driver that takes pleasure in making people run but still drives on with full knowledge the passenger wanted to get on, so after you run you try to walk it off as if you didnt really want the bus in the first place, maybe do some star jumps pretending you were running for some exercise lol, i know im guilty of it

if your on a bus and you see someone running for it but the bus drives on, do you take evil pleasure in knowing that that persons just run for no reason and is probably going to be late, but your sat on the nice warm bus? especially if it starts raining

Lol. Happy childhood memories dusted off here. I used to live near a bus stop and as a child never had any toys so what I used to do (with friends of course) was hide round the corner and leave it til the last second and run for the bus. Not to get on the bus but just to see whether the driver would see us and wait or just drive on. The best part tho was seeing the grannies on the bus shouting at the driver to wait. Of course if he did wait we would run straight past. Like I said we never hads toys when I was a lad.

I have run for a bus before only to have it drive off without me. But, I'm afraid I'm not so subtle with the star jump thing. I just shouted what an "**&^((()%**" the driver was! LOL

Because of that, if I see a driver drive off without someone I still tend to think that the driver is a plonker.

I'm guilty- I don't like having to turn round in the street either. If I realise too late I am heading in the wrong direction down a road, I always do on of two things
1) pretend (I don't actually wear one...) to look at my watch and make a face that says 'I'm late for an appointment in the othr direction..."; or
2) look in my bag/wallet/answer phone as if something has reminded me I need to be somewhere else, in the other direction...
Sad, but true

Yes yes yes. Even better is waving to someone on a bus as it drives past, pretending that you know them and indicating that you will meet them at the next stop.

That just made me laugh out loud, as it's so true and everyone is guilty of doing it. ( apart from the few who stick two fingers up at the bus driver)

I haven't been on a bus for years, those drivers seem just as bad though.
